Overview;

 

We are searching for a highly experienced Director of Golf with a proven track record in a Senior Club Management role. The successful candidate will oversee both the Golf Course Maintenance and Golf Operation departments.

 

Reporting directly to the General Manager, your responsibilities cover the operations of all golf course maintenance activities, working with appointed consultants and partnering with contractors in building or redeveloping courses and to manage all golf departments and golf-related activities, business and operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To be responsible for all golf course activities, maintenance and operations.
  • To monitor and supervise on-going developments, construction and maintenance.
  • To Co-ordinate project planning and working tasks, working closely with the Golf Course Maintenance. 

  • To continuously review all maintenance programs, course conditions and Operational plans. 

  • Create working plans for construction and maintenance works in a manner to least interfere with general play.
  • Prepare and monitor annual budget and expenses for the Golf Departments.

  • Review and analyse financial results, provide reports on department performance and implement action as required.
  • Develop and manage budgets for equipment and irrigation system maintenance, repairs and purchases.

  • Oversee manpower planning for allocated departments and ensure that recruitment needs for the team are appropriately addressed. 

  • Set and communicate performance targets to attain the given objectives. 

  • Identify and develop a comprehensive staff training/development plan to maximise staff performance. 


 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

  • Degree or certificate in Turf Management or related field with at least 10 years’ experience in a Senior Management role.
  • Excellent knowledge of tournament preparation, operations and management.
  • Ability to lead, motivate a large team of staff, adapt, embrace cultural diversity and work in multi-ethnic teams.
  • Prior experience in a similar position within south east Asia would be preferred.
